Amazing Anna and Jacob’s Wedding at the Fernbank Museum

When Anna first reached out, she had a clear mood in mind: dramatic, intimate, and a little wild. Working with her and Jacob to translate that feeling into a wedding at the Fernbank Museum was a joy. The result was a ceremony that felt cinematic and personal — full of magic.

Amazing Anna and Jacob’s wedding at the Fernbank Museum was a study in mood, intimacy, and careful restraint. When Anna first reached out, she described a desire for a ceremony that felt celestial and private — as if the universe had folded around the couple — and florals that were slightly wild but never chaotic. From that initial conversation we developed a cohesive design vision rooted in deep tones, layered textures, and intentional negative space.

We began by listening. Through a series of consultations, site visits to the Fernbank star room, and shared inspiration boards, we translated the couple’s emotional goals into tangible elements: a star-lit ceremony framed by directional, low-level lighting; lush arrangements that read moody at a distance; and centerpieces with organic movement balanced by refined composition. Lighting and placement were key. In the star room we used subtle celestial projections and carefully aimed uplighting to create intimacy without overwhelming the architecture, allowing Anna and Jacob’s vows to remain the focal point.

Mood was Deep, romantic, and atmospheric — think jewel tones, rich textures, and soft pools of light. Our approach was to kept everything intentionally curated so the overall design read as refined rather than cluttered. Every element — lighting, florals, and table details — reinforced the same emotional palette.

Palette was midnight blues and charcoal with accents of burgundy, deep plum, and warm greenery.

The star room ceremony

The bride wanted the ceremony to feel like it happened under the stars, and the Fernbank star room provided the perfect backdrop. Soft, directional lighting framed the couple while a subtle celestial projection set the tone for a quietly magical exchange. The space felt both grand and intimate: guests felt present and connected, and Anna and Jacob’s vows were the clear focal point.
Florals: wild but refined
We embraced a slightly untamed aesthetic without letting it become messy. Arrangements featured layered textures — trailing vines, sculptural blooms, and pockets of dark foliage — arranged with deliberate negative space to keep lines clean. Centerpieces and aisle florals echoed the ceremony’s mood: lush and organic, with carefully placed blooms to create movement and depth while remaining elegant.

Anna and Jacob were amazing clients, so trusting throughout the planning process. Their openness allowed us to experiment with small design risks that ultimately elevated the entire event. We loved partnering with them to bring this vision to life — their personalities were woven into every detail.

We are so grateful for their trust and honored to have helped create a night that felt deeply personal, beautifully moody, and quietly unforgettable.
